Real numbers, always
Every price on this site comes from what suppliers here actually charge. We publish ranges, not the flattering end of them, and we tell you when a county runs above the national average.
Placement cannot be bought
Listings are free, and there is no paid tier to jump the queue. Order comes from enquiries and reviews, signals couples generate. No supplier can pay to rank higher, remove a review, or have a competitor demoted.
Free for couples and suppliers
The tools, the dashboard and every enquiry are free for couples. Listings are free for suppliers too while we grow. No fee, no commission, no contract. We'd rather build something couples and suppliers both actually use before working out what to charge for.
Built for here, specifically
Three months' notice to the HSE. Cocktail sausages at eleven. A coach home at one. Bands that play three sets. A generic planning tool knows none of that, and all of it matters.
How the directory ranks
In plain terms
Every listing is free, so there are no tiers and nothing to buy. By default results are sorted by popularity, a score built from how many couples enquired, how many reviewed, and how well they rated, with enquiries weighted heaviest. New listings get a head start that decays over their first 60 days so the directory doesn’t ossify. You can switch to sort by rating, review count, enquiries, price, newest or name at any time.
“Featured” is roughly the top quarter of each category by that same score, never fewer than three and never more than twelve, recalculated continuously. Unclaimed listings are never featured. It is not for sale, at any price, to anyone.
Reviews are moderated before publication. We reject anything that reads as fake, comes from a competitor, or names individuals. Suppliers cannot see who left a review before it goes live, and cannot have one removed for being negative.
If you think something on this site is wrong, a price, a rating, a supplier who shouldn’t be listed, tell us and we’ll look at it.
