Privacy policy

We collect what you give us to plan your wedding or contact a supplier, and use it only for that. We do not sell personal data, we do not run advertising trackers, and suppliers only ever see enquiries you choose to send them.

You can download everything we hold about you, or delete your account, from your account settings at any time.

Your account. Name, email address and a hashed password (never stored in readable form). We need these to run your account. Legal basis: providing the service you signed up for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

Your wedding plan. Anything you enter in the planning dashboard: date, county, budget, checklist, notes, schedule, saved suppliers, and the names and details of guests you add. This is yours. We store it only so the tools work for you, and we do not share it with suppliers or use it for advertising. Legal basis: providing the service (Art. 6(1)(b)).

Enquiries. When you send an enquiry we pass the details you typed (name, email, phone if given, date, guest count, budget and message) to that supplier, and email you a copy. Legal basis: taking the step you asked us to take (Art. 6(1)(b)). If a listing has not been claimed by the business yet, your enquiry is not sent to them; we keep it so we can show them there is real interest if they join, and we will not pass your details on without asking you first.

Reviews. If you review a supplier we publish the names, rating, month and words you entered, once we have checked them. If you were signed in, the review is linked to your account. Ask us any time and we will take your review down. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running honest reviews (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Contact form and feedback. Your name, email and message, used only to reply or to improve the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Supplier listings. Business names, contact details, prices, photos and descriptions that suppliers submit, or that we compiled from the business's own public website and social pages. Where a business is a sole trader, some of this is personal data. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a public directory of wedding businesses (Art. 6(1)(f)). Any business can claim, correct or remove its listing at any time from the listing page or by emailing us. If you tick the box asking about a website when you list, we use your contact details to reply about that, and for nothing else.

Emails. A welcome email when you create an account, which is part of the service. The monthly planning email only goes to people who ticked the box asking for it (see below).

Supplier activity counts. We count, anonymously, how often each supplier's profile is viewed and how often its enquiry, website, phone, email and Instagram buttons are tapped, so we can show businesses the directory works. These counts contain no IP address, no account and nothing that identifies you.

Security. To stop spam and abuse, our forms briefly hold your IP address in memory to limit how many times they can be submitted. It is not saved to our database. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for a short period for security and fault-finding.

We only send the newsletter to people who ticked the box asking for it. Ticking it is never a condition of creating an account or using any of the tools, and leaving it unticked changes nothing about what you can do here.

Our legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), and we record the date you gave it and where, so we can show it was you. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link that works without signing in, and you can turn it off any time under Dashboard, Settings.

If you unsubscribe we keep a note that you did, so that a later import can never quietly put you back on the list. We do not sell or rent the list, and we do not share it with suppliers.

Suppliers you contact, as described above. Nobody else sees your details for their own purposes.

A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, under contracts that only let them use it to provide their service to us: Vercel (website hosting, supplier photo storage, and page-visit analytics if you accept them), Supabase (our database, hosted in Ireland), and Resend (sending our emails).

Vercel and Resend are US companies, so some data may be processed outside the EU. Those transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses in their data processing terms.

We would only disclose data to anyone else if the law required it.

Account and wedding plan: for as long as your account exists. Delete your account and your plan goes with it, immediately.

Enquiries: kept with the supplier's listing so both sides have a record. Once sent, a copy is also in the supplier's own inbox, which we do not control. Deleting your account unlinks your enquiries from it.

Reviews: for as long as the listing is live, unless you ask us to remove yours.

Contact messages and feedback: kept only as long as needed to deal with them and improve the site.

Newsletter consent records: kept while you are subscribed, and the unsubscribe note kept after, so you are never re-added by mistake.

Under GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, take it elsewhere, and withdraw consent at any time.

The two most common ones are self-serve: sign in and go to Settings, Your data, to download everything we hold or delete your account. For anything else, email us and we will respond within one month.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

The site is for adults planning weddings. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

We use no advertising cookies and nothing that follows you to other sites. The items marked essential are needed for signing in or for features you ask for, so they don’t need consent. Analytics only run if you click Accept on the banner, and you can change your mind any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
