How to get more wedding enquiries in Ireland
For wedding suppliers: the free things that bring in more enquiries from couples who are ready to book, from reply speed and pricing to reviews and venue lists.
Published 1 October 2026
Most Irish wedding suppliers don't need more followers. They need more couples who already know their date, their budget and what they want, asking the right question at the right time. The good news is that nearly everything that gets those enquiries costs nothing but a bit of time.
This is a practical list, roughly in order of how much difference each one makes.
Answer enquiries fast
Couples usually contact several suppliers at once, and a quick, clear answer often wins the booking. A same-day reply with your availability and a real price beats a beautifully written reply three days later. If you can't quote straight away, send a two-line holding reply saying when you will.
Put real prices where couples can see them
"Price on enquiry" filters out the couples who would have booked you. Couples budget category by category, and if they can't tell whether you're in range, many simply move on to someone who shows a number. A "from" price with what's included is enough. It also means the enquiries you do get are from couples who can afford you.
Make your Google Business Profile do the work
When a couple searches "wedding photographer Kilkenny" or your business name, your Google Business Profile is often the first thing they see.
- Choose the right primary category and add every secondary one that genuinely applies.
- Add recent photos regularly, from real weddings, not stock.
- Fill in the services and areas you cover, county by county.
- Reply to every review, good or bad. Couples read the replies as much as the reviews.
Ask every couple for a review, at the right moment
The best time is shortly after they get their photos, film or final invoice, when they are still happy and the day is fresh. Send a direct link. A few detailed reviews mentioning the venue and county do more than many one-liners, because couples search for exactly those words.
Be listed where couples actually look
Couples planning an Irish wedding search directories by county and category. Being listed in a few relevant ones, with the same name, phone number and website everywhere, helps both couples and search engines find you.
Before paying for any listing, check what you actually get. Our guide to what wedding directories cost suppliers covers the questions to ask. Listing on WeddingServicesIreland is free, with no commission and no contract, and enquiries go straight to your inbox.
Get onto venue recommended-supplier lists
Many Irish venues give couples a list of suppliers they've worked with and trust. Being on it puts you in front of couples who have just booked. Do a great job at a venue, send the coordinator a short thank-you and a few photos from the day, and ask to be considered for their list.
Show finished weddings, not just highlights
Couples want to see a whole day: how you handle family groups, a rainy afternoon, a dark function room. Full galleries, full sets or full films, with the venue named, do more to convince a couple than a highlight reel. Naming the venue also helps couples marrying there find you.
Keep your listing complete
On any directory, a complete profile gets more enquiries than a thin one. That means:
- At least six good photos, from different weddings.
- What's included at each price, in plain terms.
- Your own FAQ, answering the questions you get every week. Couples arrive already knowing the basics.
- The areas you cover, so couples in neighbouring counties know you travel.
Our guide on the questions couples ask suppliers before booking is a good checklist for what to answer up front.
Make it easy to reach you from everywhere
Link your listing from your website and your Instagram bio, and your website from your listing. Couples move between them, and every link back to your profile helps it show up when someone searches your name.
