How much do wedding hair and makeup cost in Ireland?
Real published bridal makeup and hair prices from Irish artists: the bride, the bridal party, trials and travel, and how to keep the total down.
Published 19 October 2026
Bridal makeup in Ireland costs roughly €200 to €330 for the bride on the wedding day, with each extra person in the bridal party adding €65 to €120. A trial is extra, usually around €80 to €100. For a bride and three others, published makeup packages come to about €400 to €700. Hair stylists also price per person, though fewer publish their prices.
What Irish makeup artists actually charge
These are prices artists publish themselves, on their own websites or on their profiles here.
| Makeup artist | Area | Bride | Each extra person | Trial |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Powder Room Girls | Dublin | €200 | €65 (€655 for 8 people) | €80 |
| Adele Miley Makeup | Dublin, nationwide | €495 for the bride and 3 others | €75 | €95 |
| Aisling Kelly | Dublin | from €330 (Silver) | €120 |
Two things to watch. Some artists only take bride-only bookings midweek: Aisling Kelly, for example, needs the bride and three others for a Friday to Sunday wedding, a minimum of €690. And travel is often extra outside the artist's own area.
What wedding hair costs
Hair stylists more often quote on request than publish a price list. Where they do publish, a bridal hair trial is around €100. Bridal Hair by Carrie in Moycullen, Co. Galway, for example, lists a two-hour trial at €100 and a €100 booking fee that comes off the final bill. For the wedding day itself, ask each stylist for a quote covering the bride, bridesmaids and mothers, plus travel.
What sets the price
- How many people. Most of the bill is the bridal party, not the bride. Count the bridesmaids, mothers and anyone else before you ask for a quote.
- The day. Weekend weddings often come with a minimum number of people.
- Travel and early starts. Coming to your house or venue costs more the further it is, and a very early start can carry a fee.
- Extras. Lashes, airbrush foundation and an assistant for a large party are common add-ons.
Do you need a trial?
Most brides book one, and it is worth it. A trial is where you agree the look, test how it photographs, and see whether you click with the artist. Book it two to three months before the wedding, ideally on a day you can wear the look out.
Where to save
- Keep the bridal party list tight. Every extra face adds €65 to €120.
- Let bridesmaids do their own makeup and book only hair for them, or the reverse.
- Choose an artist local to your venue to avoid travel charges.
- Book midweek if your artist offers bride-only rates then.
